اتكلمنا  المحاضرة دى عن rubber impression material
وعرفنا ان ليها اسم تانى elastomers وأنها بتتكون من long chain molecules that are coiled
فى ٣ انواع منها
1-polysulfide : light consistency
                          Regular consistency

2-silicones : light consistency
                      Regular consistency

3- polyether : regular consistency

هنتكلم الاول عن polysulfide rubber
واللى بتكون من انبوبتين
1-the base paste contains
      - polysulfide polymer
      - filler
      - plasticizer
      - small amount of sulfur

2- the reactor paste
     - lead dioxide
     - plasticizers
     - oleic acid

اما التفاعل فبيكون عن طريق
 ١- زيادة درجة الحرارة
٢- وجود قطرة وحدة من الماء (moisture )
٣- زيادة reactor /base ratio

وزى اى impression اخدناه لازم نتكلم عن accuracy
Flow : highly accurate
Dimensional accuracy and stability
Elasticity: the most flexible
Compatibility with die material
Tear strength : the most resistance

تانى نوع هو silicone
اما دى فى منه نوعين :
1- condensation type
دى بيكون عبارة انبوبة و سائل
The paste :
                  Polydimethyl siloxane polymer
                  Fillers
                  An orthoalkylsilicate

The catalyst :
                  Metal organic ester
                  Oily diluent
والتفاعل بيكون عن طريق condensation polymerization وبيطلع الكحول ناتج ثانوى

2- addition type
برضو بيتكون من انبوبة وسائل

The paste :
        Moderately low molecular weight polydimethyl siloxane
        Filler
The catalyst :
        Moderately low molecular weight polydimethyl siloxane with vinyl terminal group
       Filler
       Chloroplatinic
وهنا التفاعل بيكون addition reaction ومفيش by product

Accuracy
       Flow : highly accurate
       Dimensional stability :
Condensation type : shrinkage of .6 %
Addition type : shrinkage of .05 %
     Elasticity: more ideally
     Flexibility: less flexible
     Compatibility with die material : more available type
    Tear strength : low

اما ثالث نوع فهو polyether rubber
بيكون موجود فى انبوبتين
Base paste :
        A polyether polymer
         Filler
        Plasticizer

Catalyst paste :
       An aromatic sulfanic acid eater
        Filler
       Plasticizers
اما التفاعل فبيكون عن طريق addition polymerization reaction

Accuracy:
              Flow : highly accurate
              Dimensional stability:  shrinkage.025% in 24 hours
              Elasticity: visco-elastic
              Flexibility: the least flexible
              Compatibility with die material
               Tear resistance

نيجى بقى لآخر حاجة وهى العوامل المؤثرة على accuracy بشكل عام
1- record fine details
2- small contraction on setting in the mouth
3- they are sufficiently  elastic
4- compatible with gypsum products
